Angry mob beat murder suspect

Authorities in India have arrested seven people in connection to a murder suspect who was beaten unconscious by an angry mob.



Four policemen have been suspended in relation to the incident.



Ravi Kumar was reportedly in a hospital when a crowd dragged him from his bed.



Video broadcast on Indian television showed the man being dragged along the ground, by a rope tied to his hands and being kicked until he stopped moving.



The footage also showed at least one policeman standing by, as the man was taken from police custody by the angry mob.



Kumar was receiving treatment after being arrested for allegedly fatally stabbing another man during a fight.
