Scotiabank appoints new CFO

Jacqueline Sharp has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of the Scotiabank Group effective October 1.



Mrs. Sharp is currently the General Manager of Scotia Jamaica Life Insurance Company Limited, a position she has held since June 2003.



She has been with Scotiabank since 1997.



In announcing her appointment today, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Scotiabank Group, Bruce Bowen said Mrs. Sharp is well prepared for the role having worked in the positions of Treasury Manager and Senior Analyst for the Bank.



Mrs. Sharp replaces former Chief Financial Officer Stacie-Ann Wright who resigned earlier this year.



Mrs. Sharp is currently a Vice President of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica and President of the Insurance Association of Jamaica.
