T & T to improve justice system

The National security minister, Martin Joseph said the government is considering more sophisticated investigations to bring criminals to justice.



He said judges often dismiss many cases because the witnesses of killings and other serious crimes go missing.



Mr. Joseph said many witnesses end up having sudden lapses in memory and are unable to sustain the evidence they first gave.



He said the criminal justice system must use other methods to help in attaining convictions.
