Two of Jamaica’s leading advertising agencies have merged and will begin trading as DCC Prism Ltd effective February 1, 2010. The new firm comprised of Dunlop Corbin Communications and Prism Communications Ltd. will combine considerable skills and resources to provide clients with a higher level of efficiency, creativity and new service offerings.

In a release from the new company, it said the decision was taken because of the prevailing fiscal environment. It said both companies seized the opportunity to consolidate their resources for greater flexibility in executing innovative communication that reflects today’s realities of maximum return on investment.

In announcing the new operation Gregory McClure, President, Dunlop Corbin Communications pointed out that “clients will enjoy original ideas to build Brand Equity together with the accountability that they demand. The critical mass of the new agency will generate volumes that derive greater client value for money, with speed, agility and originality.”

Beverly Hirst, Managing Director of Prism Communications hailed the new venture and stated “it is the consensus that this merger is a bold and original step in the right direction, and signals a vision from both entities of growth and adaptability in an ever-changing and ever-challenging economic environment.”
