Chanderpual in ICC top 10

West Indies middle-order batsman Shivnarine Chanderpual is the only regional player, who is ranked in the top 10 of the International Cricket Council test cricket rankings.
The latest ranking was released today.
Chanderpual is ranked at 10th.
Dwayne Bravo at 27 and Chris Gayle at 28 are the next highest ranked West Indies players.
Australian Ricky Ponting is the number one batsman ahead of Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara. Jacques Kallis of South Africa holds the third position.
Corey Collymore, omitted from the squad for their African tour, is the only West Indies bowler in the top thirty. He placed at number 11 and the next highest rated Caribbean bowler is Pedro Collins at 31.
Muttiah Muralitharan of Sri Lanka is ranked the number one bowler, ahead of South Africa’s Makhaya Ntini.
