First Global Bank wins international awards

First Global Bank, a subsidiary of the GraceKennedy Group, is the recipient of awards for Best Online Banking Platform Jamaica 2013, and the Best Banking Customer Service Provider Jamaica 2013.



The awards were made by Global Banking and Finance Review, an online portal that provides news to the financial community.



The awards bring to three, the international accolades that the bank has received since 2012 when it received the ‘Best Banking Group – Jamaica 2012’ award from World Finance Magazine.



President of First Global Bank, Maureen Hayden-Cater expressed her appreciation for the awards, saying that “this recognition clearly demonstrates that First Global Bank is clearly on the right track to becoming a world class organization.”



She added: “We pride ourselves on providing excellent customer service, and this award is testament to the fact that we are doing something right. Our staff members live by the GraceKennedy mantra ‘We Choose to Care’, and we demonstrate this daily in our personalized customer service. In addition, we are very proud of our online banking platform, Global Access, and consider it to be the best in Jamaica, so it is gratifying to be recognized by such a major organization.’



The Global Banking and Finance Review awards aim to recognize companies that are prominent in particular areas of expertise and excellence in the global financial community.
