The death toll from alleged terrorist attacks in Mumbai, India has risen to over 146 people.
Officials say fresh explosion and gunfire rang out at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel, one of several sites targeted in the attacks.
The stand-offs began late on Wednesday when gunmen armed with automatic weapons and grenades opened fire indiscriminately on crowds at a major railway station, the two hotels and the Jewish centre.
A hospital and a cafe frequented by foreigners were also attacked.
Meanwhile, security officials say the police have taken over the Oberoi Trident Hotel and have rescued nearly 100 guests and staff.
About 370 people have been injured since Wednesday, while the death toll is expected to rise as more bodies are discovered.
