Chavez to build oil refinery in Dominica

Venezuelan President, Hugo Chavez has confirmed that Venezuela will shortly build an oil refinery in Dominica.
Mr. Chavez said it would be part of his government’s efforts towards regional integration.
He said the oil refinery would be used to distribute Venezuelan crude oil to other islands in the Eastern Caribbean.
Several CARICOM countries have signed Venezuela’s energy pact with Petro Caribe, which allows them to purchase oil from Venezuela on conditions of preferential treatment.
