Work and Pensions Secretary for the United Kingdom, Peter Hain has resigned from Cabinet.

The Minster resigned within minutes of the Electoral Commission, announcing it had decided to refer the late declaration of 103,000 pounds of donations for the deputy leadership race, to the police.

Mr. Hain said he hopes his resignation will clear his name. Mr. Hain has always blamed poor administration for the mishap.
