The father of American teenager Natalee Holloway who went missing in 2005 said a US private investigator has begun searching a pond in Aruba for signs of his daughter.

Dave Holloway says he has not given up his search for evidence into Natalee’s May 2005 disappearance.

Tracker dog specialist Fred Golba who is conducting the operation, has previously searched for the teenager eight times on the Dutch Caribbean island.

Natalee Holloway was 18 when she was last seen leaving a bar in the Aruban capital on the final night of a high school graduation trip.
