Researchers at the United Nations have published a comprehensive study on global inequality, which shows that the world\'s wealth is owned by 2 percent of the global population.
The study is based on the experiences of six countries including the United States and France.
The researchers show that the introduction of industrialisation generally leads to wealth being concentrated in fewer hands, before it becomes more evenly distributed later as the middle classes get richer.
