Courts Limited has announced that the positions of 55 workers across its operations in the Eastern Caribbean are to be made redundant.

Company officials say these job cuts are necessary as the entity seeks to reduce costs.

The layoffs are to take effect in the coming weeks with the possibility of more redundancies in a matter of months.

Courts operates seven outlets in six countries in the sub-region.
