St. Lucia clamp down on credit card fraud

St Lucia’s government has secured a pledge of closer cooperation among law enforcement agencies in the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) and Barbados in the fight against credit card fraud.
National Security Minister Guy Mayers says criminals have been using the cover of the cruise industry in the islands to commit fraudulent acts.
He says the matter was discussed at a just concluded meeting of National Security Ministers of the sub-region held in St. Kitts.
