WHO raises swine flu alert again

The World Health Organisation, WHO, has raised the level of its swine flu alert a notch higher, signaling that a pandemic is imminent.



The Organization says based on assessment of all available information, and following several expert consultations, it has decided to raise the level of the alert from four to five.



The WHO also said the world is better prepared for an influenza pandemic at this time.



The move comes after the virus spread to at least 10 U.S. states with close to 100 infections detected in America so far.
