Journalists kidnapped in Iraq

Masked men carrying high-powered weapons reportedly kidnapped two journalists in southern Iraq yesterday.



The names of the journalists have not been released, but they are employed to the American Network, CBS.



The journalists were reportedly captured at a hotel in the city of Basra by at least eight gunmen.



CBS has since released a statement stating that efforts are being made to find the missing journalists.



The disappearances come amid continuing concern about the dangers faced by media staff in Iraq.
