Britain announced that it would be closing its High Commission office in Grenada.

A statement issued by the Commission in Grand Anse, St. George’s said the closure is part of a restructuring of its diplomatic presence in the Eastern Caribbean.

The office will be closed at the end of March, however its final day of business to the public will be on March 14.

The statement said an Honorary British Consul would be appointed shortly, to act as the first point of contact for British nationals in Grenada requiring urgent consular assistance.
