The Nevis Island Administration (NIA) is cutting consumption tax on a number of items by some 10 percent in that country.
The Administration said the move is intended to protect the people of Nevis and soften the impact of the increasing global food and oil prices.
The authorities said they are implementing this and other tax relief measures on some food and non food items, to facilitate a reduction in the local prices of these products.
