Burma death toll rises

Nearly 4,000 persons are now dead after a cyclone hit the southeast country of Burma over the weekend.



Local media in that country are reporting that 3, 900 people died, while another 3,000 are feared missing.



Five Burmese regions have been declared disaster zones.



United Nations officials said they are moving to provide several hundred thousand people in the country with shelter and drinking water.
