Police in the north-western Pakistani town of Mansehra say they have arrested a man suspected to be involved in the killing of three female aid workers.

The women were kidnapped and killed on Monday along with their male driver.

Investigators say the suspect is the ex-husband of one of the dead women.

They say the arrest dismisses speculation that the attack on the three women was done by militants.

The police also say that the arrested man was named as a suspect in a report filed by the father of one of the murdered women.
