The Supreme Court has further extended the injunction which bars the Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) from taking steps to replace North West St Ann caretaker Othneil Lawrence.

Justice Bryan Sykes ruled yesterday that the injunction will remain in effect until Lawrence’s application is heard or until further orders.

No date has been set for the hearing into Lawrence’s application.

The extension of the injunction will allow the North West St Ann caretaker to participate in Sunday’s nomination exercise in the constituency.

Lawrence has taken JLP Leader Andrew Holness and General Secretary, Dr Horace Chang,  to court accusing them of flouting the party's constitution by attempting to remove him without a vote by the delegates.

He is also claiming that he is being victimised because of his support for Audley Shaw in the leadership race against Holness last year.

Lawrence was reportedly among a number of losing candidates from the 2011 general election who were booted last year December.
