Police rule out foul play in Johnny Kemp death

The police in St James have ruled out foul play in the death of R&B singer Johnny Kemp.

Kemp is believed to have drowned at a beach in Montego Bay last Thursday. He was 55 years old.

According to the police, Kemp's body was found faced down in the water about 9:50 last Thursday morning.

He had been scheduled to perform on the Tom Joyner Foundation Fantastic Voyage Cruise. He had not boarded the ship.

Kemp was best known for the 1988 US Billboard number one hit "Just Got Paid".
