Clarendon has a crime problem - Police
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Ealan Powell, says the parish of Clarendon has a problem with crime and violence.
He says the parish has been plagued especially with gang-related incidents, over the last five years.
ACP Powell says the police are doing their best.
However, he's urging residents to cooperate with the security forces.
He says more resources are being pumped into Clarendon's crime fighting efforts.
Last week’s killing of four people in Hayes continued a recent trend of murders in the parish.
On Saturday, 21-year-old Clayton Howell, was shot and killed in the once peaceful community of Frankfield.
The police believe that youth gangs popping up in Frankfield and various communities in the parish are responsible for the upsurge in crime and violence.
