Government to refine oral health policies

The government is to refine oral health policies in an effort to improve these services to the public.

According to Health Minister, Dr Christopher Tufton, there are several strategies and policies that he would like to see practiced locally.

“Among them is to ensure that we partner with the private sector like Colgate, Kirk Distributors and others to encourage prevention even before we get to cure,” Minister Tufton said.

The health minister was speaking at the re-launch of the Colgate Mobile Dental unit at the Union Gardens Infant School on April 7.

The Minister of Health also said he aims to acquire at least three mobile units – one for each county – through partnerships with the private sector.
