JUTC board said Colin Campbell has advised that he will not renew his contract as managing director when it expires in 90 days.

Colin Campbell is to leave the Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC).

In a statement issued a short while ago, the JUTC board said Campbell has advised that he will not renew his contract as managing director when it expires in 90 days.

Campbell has been at the company for the past two years and nine months.

In March, following the change of Government, Campbell had told The Sunday Gleaner that he had no intention to quit before his contract came to an end.

The JUTC says Campbell has made a "tremendous contribution" to the state-run bus company.

The company also says it remains committed to continuing the growth and transformation that began under Campbell's stewardship.
