Cabana City excites
The Kingston Waterfront was transformed into a tropical oasis for the elite last Saturday night for the highly anticipated Cabana City.
Setting the tone for the fashion experience were bouncers and security personnel who were decked out in black suits and matching ties.
A-listers followed suit, coming out in trending numbers of the lace, cutout, button-down and blazer persuasion to indulge in arguably the first major event to kick-start this hot summer.
Freedom, happiness
As the wind from the neighbouring seas caressed their bodies, patrons rocked to the wide variety of song selections from ZJ Chrome, embodying freedom, happiness and togetherness with every hit.
Those in attendance looked forward to the spacious cabanas, a huge food court, offering an array of scrumptious food and multiple hassle-free bars boasting Appleton's most premium brand mixes.
According to Appleton's Gary Dixon, only the best was good enough for Cabana City.
"The organisers have always put on a classic event which gives patrons an opportunity to dress up, party and feel good, while enjoying the best rum in the world. So based on that, Appleton was an easy fit. This is a quality premium experience just like our rum. Our entire portfolio from Wray & Nephew is here. But when you're looking at a premium event like this, you are going to think to lead with the Appleton Estate, the quality of the brand, the process it went through and the kind of product that the organisers put together goes together," Dixon told Outlook.
By 10 p.m., the venue was approaching full capacity. Patrons danced as best as they could, all the while ensuring that their fashionable outfits were kept intact. Over time, many ladies were seen hopping out of their heels, opting for more comfort on the dance-floor.
As the clock struck midnight, the belles and princes of the ball took their final dance under the stars.
