Gunmen attempted to attack Hayes police station

Gunmen attempted to attack the Hayes police station in Clarendon this morning.
Reports are that a white Toyota Axio motor car with three men aboard drove onto the compound of the police station about 3 a.m.
Two of the men came out of the car, one armed with a rifle and the other with a hand gun.
The gunman with the rifle attempted to open fire but was challenged by the station guard who fired at them.
The men retreated and escaped. It is not known if any of them were injured.
Investigations continue.
