On Saturday, The Gleaner's Fit 4 Life team journeyed to the cool hills of Jacks Hill in St Andrew to walk the steep incline with the St Matthew's Walkers and residents of the community. We were also joined by Yulit Gordon, executive director of the Jamaica Cancer Society.

Yet again, it was not for the faint of heart, as the group truly worked those leg muscles, taking on the hilly terrain in the early hours of the morning.

After an hour, it was back to the Jacks Hill Community Centre for cool down and treats from sponsor Chas E. Ramson, made from their products Foska Oats and Blue Diamond Almond Milk.

But the rest period wasn't for long, as Fit 4 Life's fitness coach Marvin Gordon took participants through a series demanding upper body and abs workouts, followed by stretches and cool down.

Then it was right into the exercise and fitness challenges, where the fittest of the fit won several prizes courtesy of The Gleaner and our sponsors.

Check out the highlights from Saturday's Jacks Hill event.

This Saturday, The Gleaner's Fit 4 Life team will travel to the Hope Pastures Park in Hope Pastures, St Andrew, to work out with the residents of the community and guests. Come out at 7:00 a.m. for an intense exercise session to get your heart pumping. Just what you need to start your day.
