Once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for top schoolboy 'ballers

Thirty top schoolboy players who participated in the ISSA/FLOW Super Cup 2017 competition will have a rare and exciting opportunity to enhance their skills while interacting with some of the world's top football coaches this weekend.

On Sunday, the players, who hail from several prominent schools in the ISSA/FLOW Manning and daCosta Cup competitions and who were placed on one of two teams selected by a complement of media, personnel and votes on social media respectively, will participate in the inaugural FLOW Super Cup All-Star coaching clinic.

During an exclusive all-day skills-development workshop scheduled for the National Stadium, the players will benefit from expert training and mentorship under the guidance of coaches from top English Premier League Club Manchester United, who arrive in Jamaica today.

Members of the public will have the opportunity to see their favourite players in action during a unique private game, which will be streamed live online via FLOW's YouTube page, starting at 3 p.m. on Sunday.

Carlo Redwood, VP marketing at FLOW, described the clinic as a developmental platform for both the players and local sports.

Team One, selected for the clinic by members of the media, includes Chadeem Rodriques, Javian Brown, Anthoniel Mullings, Fabian Grant, and Rashawn Mackison of Kingston College; Malik Howell and Tyreek Magee of Jamaica College; Clifton Woodbine and Chris Andrew Dixon of St Elizabeth Technical; Jeadine White and David Smith of St Andrew Technical; Colin Anderson and Orane Ferguson of Calabar High; as well as Kaheem Parris of Dinthill Technical and Lemar Walker of Clarendon College.

Team Two was selected via an online voting process. It includes Benjamin Williams, Kenar Huntington, Demario Phillips, and Nicque Daley of Clarendon College; Trey Bennett, Casseam Priestly, Renato Campbell, and Trayvone Reid of Kingston College; Norman Campbell and Tevin Rochester of Jamaica College; Omar Clemiston, Nazine Matalie, and Renaldo Wellington of Rusea's High School; Tevin Rochester of Jamaica College and Deandre McCoy of Calabar High School.

In 2015, FLOW signed an exclusive, multiyear agreement with Manchester United. They have both made a commitment to help further the development of football across the region through competitions and coaching programmes with Manchester United Soccer Schools.
