Dalton Harris not above criticism
THE EDITOR, Sir:
Dalton Harris is a talented singer, and I know he will win X Factor. I'm not bad-minded. I ain't homophobic or a bigot for expressing my views against Dalton Harris sitting in a man's lap.
Bounty Killer has the right to withdraw his support without being crucified by social media. Dalton Harris' mother has the right to give her side of the story without being called bitter and malicious.
I don't care about anyone's sexuality, but celebrities need to know that our young boys are looking on and may believe that a man sitting in another man's lap is okay.
When Kanye West and Will Smith's son, Jaden Smith, were bashed by Americans for wearing female clothes, weren't Americans backward-thinking then?
Our culture
Why do we have to adopt other people's culture? If our nation is being called homophobic because we don't support same-sex marriage or homosexuality, that's life. We ain't discriminating against lesbians and gays. If our nation was so intolerant, LGBT marches could not have happened in St James.
Dalton Harris' mother did an interview with a popular Jamaican YouTube blogger. She told her truth, and social media was offended.
