CAPE results out, CSEC results due tomorrow

The Caribbean Examinations Council has announced a new system for the release of its May-June 2019 Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE) and Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) examinations results.

The highly anticipated results, which are initially being released online, can be accessed through the CXC students’ portal.

The CAPE results were released yesterday and the CSEC results should become available tomorrow, August 15.

In the past, students had experienced access issues because of the high volume of traffic received on the CXC website, where the results were all released at once on release dates. This year, CXC has taken steps to stagger the release times based on territories. Results for Jamaican CSEC candidates will become available between 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Subsequently, results will be available freely until the portal is closed.

The new approach will mean decreased numbers of students visiting the website at one specific time, the CXC said in a release.

Results will be released to specific countries for a window of time between two to three hours on release dates.
