B. B Coke capped off their historic season in fine style, beating Garvey Maceo 4-2 on penalties after a 2-2 regulation time draw in the final of the ISSA Ben Francis Cup at the Montego Bay Sports Complex on Saturday to win their first-ever schoolboy football title.
Goalkeeper Shavar Foster was the hero for the Junction-based school, saving Garvey Maceo's fourth kick.
Earlier Jason Dyer and Christopher Nelson netted for B. B Coke, while Marvin Williams and Jermaine Muirhead were the goal scorers for Garvey Maceo.
B. B Coke's marksman Jason Dyer continued his rich vein of form to give his team the lead in the 33rd minute. The captain rose above two defenders to delivery a precise header, edging the underside of the crossbar to take his tally to 20 goals this season.
They doubled their lead just two minutes after the break, from an indirect free-kick after the Garvey Maceo custodian handled a back pass from his defender. Just nine yards from the goal Kaymani Case gently played the ball off for Christopher Nelson to poke home.
With a two-goal cushion, B.B Coke took their foot off the accelerator, which allowed Garvey Maceo to peg one back nine minutes later. B. B Coke's defence and the goalkeeper made a mess of a free-kick swinging in from the right to gift Marvin Williams and Garvey Maceo a goal.
Jermaine Muirhead drew the game level for Garvey Maceo heading home a corner.
Garvey Maceo got the opportunity to take the lead just before the end of regulation time after being awarded a penalty. However, Barrington Blake skied his kick over the crossbar.
After getting past the Second Round of the daCosta Cup for the first time ever, B. B Coke went all the way to capturing their first silverware.
