Boy, oh, boy, oh, boy! - Mothers elated as three male babies mark Christmas Jubilee

Three mothers were showered with care packages and other gifts at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital in Kingston having been the first ones to give birth there on Christmas Day in 2020.
The bouncing baby boys arrived at 3:12 a.m., 3:34 a.m., and 9 a.m.
First to give birth was Nikisha Page.
She had a C-section and was wheeled to another ward, said Elise Fairweather Blackwood, director of nursing services at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital. Page’s newborn girl weighed 2.87 kilograms.
Naketa Dockery, mother of the second Christmas baby, shared that she can’t wait for her son, Leondre Gray, to start going to church.
“I am not a Christian, but I am working towards it,” said Dockery, eager to head home.
Third-time mom Tracy Ann Jackson was just as elated at having Magnus Alphonso Jackson on Christmas Day – an early surprise.
“He was due on the 30th, so him coming on Christmas Day, I feel good!” she told The Gleaner.
Lieutenant Governor Don Gittens of the Kiwanis Club Division 23 East said the organisation was proud to have maintained, over the past decade, the gesture to mothers on Christmas Day at the Victoria Jubilee Hospital.
Gittens said that Christmas offered the opportunity of exchanging gifts and spending time with family. The 16 Kiwanis group in Division 23 East pooled donations in collaboration with sponsors Answers and Cari-Med.
He said that maternity patients were often alone on Christmas Day. That reality inspired the charitable organisation to seek to make a difference.
“We normally would give to the kids. But what we wanted to do this time was make the mothers feel special on this special day,” said Gittens.
