Teenage girl killed in St Thomas crash

A teenage girl died in Morant Bay, St Thomas, on Saturday after the vehicle in which she was a passenger collided with heavy-duty equipment.

Dead is 16-year-old Happy Grove High School student, Abrianna Rose, of Duhaney Pen, Morant Bay.

It is reported that about 3:30 a.m., Saturday, Rose was travelling in a 1991 Toyota Corolla motor car and upon reaching Springfield the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The car then slammed into heavy-duty equipment being used for road construction.

Rose died from the injuries she received.

The Morant Bay police are investigating the matter.
