The police are reporting that two men were arrested and two loaded guns seized after the vehicle they were travelled in crashed along the Linstead Bypass in St Catherine while trying to elude cops.

Reports are that about 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, a police team assigned to the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch signalled the driver of a Nissan AD motor car to stop.

According to the police, the driver disobeyed and sped off, however, the motor vehicle later crashed along the roadway.

The police team accosted the two occupants of the motor car and conducted a search in their presence.

The police say two Taurus pistols with two magazines containing a total of fourteen 9mm cartridges were found.

The men's identities are being withheld pending further investigation.
