Prime Minister Andrew Holness this morning announced the appointment of Fayval Williams as the new Minister of Finance.

She replaces Dr Nigel Clarke who demitted office today to take up a deputy managing director post at the International Monetary Fund.

"These appointments are designed to maintain stability and minimise disruption in the function of the government," said Holness.

The Education Ministry will now be led by Senator Dr Dana Morris Dixon, who is also the Minister of Information.

And Matthew Samuda is to retake his post as Minister without Portfolio in the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation. Samuda was recently elected the MP for St Ann North East.
