Now that Rachel Silvera, Miss Universe Jamaica 2024, has landed in Mexico City for the lead-up events before the Miss Universe grand coronation on November 16, she intends to create a fashion statement at all events she will partake in, with some signature pieces from Dermoth Williams Resort, Ignite Boutique and Uzuri International.

Jamaican designers Mark McDermoth and Karl Williams, Miss Universe Jamaica franchise holders, are confident Silvera will make a strong impression. The duo also promised a few surprises.

“We can’t show the entirety of the wardrobe in an evening or you would be here all evening. So, we took a few snippets of the overall to show a variety of the looks that she will wear,” McDermoth told Living at Monday’s send-off for Silvera.

“But, again, this is the tricky part about an event like this, you really do not want to put out the entire thing, especially the dramatics. But there is so much more that is left in terms of the colour and the texture, style and silhouettes,” McDermoth added.

Williams shared that Silvera’s looks played upon her skin tone, body and personality, and that, each time the reigning Miss Universe Jamaica steps out, it will be a wow moment.
