T-TAG TOP-UPS NOW EASIER THROUGH PARTNERSHIP
Motorists travelling on the island’s toll roads using T-tags are now able to top up more conveniently through a partnership between TransJam Highways and Transactions E- Limited (TEPL).
TEPL operates Jamaica’s largest non-financial electronic distribution network under the GO Platform. It offers services such as top up, prepaid electricity, bill payments, gift cards, public transportation top-ups and connects thousands of merchants to provide accessible transaction solutions islandwide. TEPL is part of the Interlinc Group, a leading value-added distribution group with operations across the Caribbean, Central America, Europe, and the Pacific. TransJam Highways, operated by TransJamaican Highway Limited, is the concessionaire of Jamaica’s largest toll road network, formerly known as Highway 2000 East-West.
Effective since December 2, 2024, this collaboration is aimed at modernising toll road services across the island and providing customers with greater access and flexibility when managing their toll accounts.
Through this partnership, T-Tag users can now top up in two hours at any of the more than 1,200 GO merchant locations islandwide in denominations of $1,000, $2,000, $3,000, $5,000, and $10,000. The service is designed to be reliable, accessible, and cash-friendly while meeting the needs of customers at all venues.
T-Tag users can visit any GO merchant location islandwide, provide their T-Tag details, pay the desired amount and get their balance within two hours.
“This partnership combines TransJam Highways’ expertise in toll-road management with TEPL’s strength in electronic distribution to deliver a seamless solution for T-Tag users,” said Rachael Lindo-Hall, chief operating officer at Interlinc Group. “By integrating T-Tag top-ups into the GO Platform, we’re offering motorists an efficient and accessible way to top up their T-Tags across the island,” she continued.
Lindo-Hall says that the GO Platform service caters primarily to customers who prefer to pay by cash. In addition, she said many GO merchants operate outside of the usual business hours, with some open 24 hours a day.
According to Lindo-Hall, the collaboration between TEPL and TransJam Highways was built on a shared vision to expand access to and enhance the T-Tag top-up process. “This initiative ensures motorists can easily manage their toll accounts on the ‘GO’ while reducing transaction times and enhancing the overall customer experience,” she said.
GO merchants are located in the 14 parish capitals across Jamaica.
