UK investigators to help probe Bhutto’s killing

Pakistan’s President, Pervez Musharraf, has announced that UK investigators will be helping with the inquiry into the assassination of opposition leader, Benazir Bhutto.



In a televised address, President Musharraf said the UK Prime Minister has agreed to send a team from London to help in the probe.



Mr. Musharraf said terrorists were behind the attacks, and Ms. Bhutto’s death is a tragedy for the nation.



The presidential elections, which were set for next week, have been postponed until February 18.



At the same time, Mr. Musharraf is promising a free, fair and peaceful election.
