EU urges Europeans not to panic

The Netherlands has confirmed its first case of swine flu, in a three-year-old boy who recently returned from Mexico.



New cases have also been confirmed in Switzerland, Costa Rica and Peru.



In The Bahamas, there is one suspected case and 12 people who recently traveled to Mexico have been quarantines.



Meanwhile, the European Union has urged Europeans not to panic over the swine flu, as ministers hold emergency talks on ways to contain the virus.



The EU\'s director-general of health and consumer protection says deaths from the disease are expected in Europe.



EU ministers are scheduled to discuss a continent-wide travel restriction from Mexico.



Several countries have already restricted travel to Mexico and many tour operators have cancelled holidays.
