The Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) said it is monitoring the situation in the region in respect of the H1N1 virus.
The CXC is now administering major examinations in most Caribbean states.
It said it has put contingency measures in place in the event that there is an outbreak of the HIN1 virus in participating CXC territories.
The CXC said the measures will kick in if there is an outbreak of the virus in any participating territory and a national emergency is declared.
In such a case, the council will issue replacement examinations to the affected territory at a date to be agreed on with the Government.
So far, only one case of the H1N1 virus has been detected in Cuba, but that country is not among the CXC participating territories.
