Argentina has ordered the expulsion of the Honduran ambassador because of her public support for a coup which ousted Honduran President Manuel Zelaya.

The Argentine foreign ministry says it ordered the cessation of functions of envoy Carmen Eleonora Ortez Williams at Mr Zelaya\'s request.

Buenos Aires has supported the position of the Organisation of American States (OAS), which has condemned June\'s coup.

The OAS has also called for the restoration of Mr Zelaya to power.

Zelaya was sent into exile on June 28, amid a power struggle over his plans for constitutional change.
