Prominent attorney-at-law Miguel Lorne who is currently before the courts on fraud related charges, says he believes he’s being targeted by the police for his involvement in the Mario Deane case.

Lorne is representing the family of Mario Deane, who died last year due to injuries he received while in the custody of the police.

The incident sparked public outcry both locally and internationally.

The prominent attorney has just signalled his intention to bring the case to an international court.

Speaking this morning on Nationwide 90 FM, Lorne said the family of Deane is also unsurprised that he’s been charged by the police.

And he says they too are seemingly being targeted by the police.

Lorne says the matter has been reported to the Police High Command.

However, he says the incidents continue to occur.

Three members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, who were on duty at the time of Mario Deane's alleged beating, were handed multiple charges including manslaughter.

And two inmates were also charged.
