Winston Lawson Takes Charge

Last Thursday night, western Jamaica's business community turned out to welcome National Commercial Bank's (NCB) new assistant general manager, corporate banking division, western region, Winston Lawson, at a cocktail reception at the Half Moon Hotel, Montego Bay.
Lawson succeeds Brian Boothe, who has been appointed general manager for corporate banking and was transferred to The Atrium in Kingston, last year. Boothe thanked all who supported him while he managed the Montego Bay locations.
A confident Lawson, who has spent the last 23 years with the NCB, signalled his intention to make his impact felt in the tourism capital. He, however, admitted that Boothe had left him some size 29 shoes to fill. "Very big shoes," he quipped, even while adding that he was not daunted. Instead, he said he felt it was a privilege and he was honoured to be part of the team in the west.
Lawson headed the business underwriting unit in Kingston before taking up his new post.
"I am honoured to see a portfolio of local and international clients in attendance at this reception," he noted.
Lawson's wife, Camille, in her supporting role, stood beside her husband throughout the evening as she greeted guests upon arrival.
