High-level police team to assess evidence in Clarendon quadruple killing

A high-level police team is to meet today to assess the evidence gathered so far in the investigation into last week’s murder of four people, including three teenagers, in Clarendon.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Ealan Powell, says two men held in connection with last Wednesday’s execution-style gun killings remain in custody without charge.

Last night, he updated The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre on the status of investigations.

Those killed include 14-year-old Raymond Givans, of Vere Technical High, Ricardo Briscoe, also 14 years old, of Garvey Maceo and 16-year-old Alex Turner of Central High 

The fourth victim is Marquis Hamilton, a 35-year-old accounts clerk.

All four were found face down with gunshot wounds to their heads.

The boys had reportedly stopped outside the adult’s house on their way from the gym when they were killed.

The deaths shocked the country.

Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller says her heart is full and has urged Jamaicans to cooperate with the police.
