Thwaites injured in fall

Minister of Education Ronald Thwaites was taken to hospital yesterday, following a fall at his farm.

However, the ministry said preliminary assessments indicate that Thwaites did not suffer any serious injury.

Police launch top-level probe into robbery

The police have launched a top-level probe into the circumstances surrounding the armed robbery of the Knightsman Security company office off Lyndhurst Road in St Andrew yesterday.

Reports are that about 12:30 a.m., three men, armed with firearms, held up and robbed a security guard of six .38 revolvers, 72 rounds of ammunition, an undetermined sum of cash and a cellular phone.
