Footprints: Nakhiha Edwards - She brought joy to all
On February 2, 1994, Artles Wilson and Fitzroy Edwards' daughter Nakhiha entered the world, bringing joy to everyone whose life she touched.
Nakhiha was described by her family as an outgoing, jovial, and confident individual who enjoyed making other people happy.
"There is never a sad moment when you are around her," her sister, Denise Edwards, recalled.
Nakhiha had four sisters - Denise, Annastacia, Sanicka, and Shelonie.
Her brothers are Damaion Willis, Deshawn Edwards, and Gregory Daykens.
All her siblings loved her endlessly.
"When one remembers Nakhiha, one will always remember that beautiful smile that will warm any heart," Denise said.
Nakhiha was only 21 when she died. She had big dreams and a bright future.
"She was a confident individual and she had big dreams, not for herself, but for her entire family," Denise reminisced.
"Her dreams will never die because her family and friends promise to continue her legacy."
Nakhiha grew up in Westphalia District, St Andrew, where she entertained everyone she met. She was very loving and kind.
"She loved life and herself very much" and her family and friends are bewildered by her death, Denise said.
Gavanni Edwards and Jamoney Bailey are among other relatives who were saddened by the untimely passing of Nakhiha.
