UPDATED: Woman convicted for fatal crash at St Andrew bus stop

A 37-year-old woman whose car ploughed into a St Andrew bus stop in 2011, killing two people, including a blind woman, has been convicted of causing death by dangerous driving.
A seven-member jury returned the guilty verdict against Ann-Marie Williams this morning in the Home Circuit Court in downtown Kingston.
Williams, who is from Wellington Drive, St Andrew was driving a Toyota Avalon motor car in January 2011, when she crashed into the bus stop along Old Hope Road.

Fifty-one-year-old Johanna Scarlet and 60-year-old Esmerelda Evans, who was blind, were killed.
Three other visually impaired persons were also injured.
Justice David Fraser presided over the trial.
The case was prosecuted by Crown Counsel Leighton Morris.
She is to be sentenced on December 10.
*NOTE: Earlier this story had said Williams was convicted of manslaughter. That was incorrect. She convicted of causing death by dangerous driving.
