Donna Parchment-Brown new political Ombudsman, to resign as Custos

The Custos of St Andrew Donna Parchment-Brown is the new Political Ombudsman.
Her appointment takes effect on Monday when she will be sworn in at King's House.
Parchment- Brown will relinquish her position as Custos to accommodate her new appointment.
A dispute resolution specialist, Parchment-Brown was called to the Bar more than 33 years ago and has served in both the private and public sectors.
The Political Ombudsman who is appointed by the Governor-General after consultation with the Prime Minister and Leader of the Opposition has statutory responsibility to oversee and investigate adherence to Jamaica's Code of Political Conduct.
She succeeds Bishop Herro Blair who resigned in 2013.
