Big gaming operators form association

The operators of the seven largest gaming lounges have formed the Jamaica Gaming Association (JGA), a new group through which the sector can lobby for its interests, with Brian George of Supreme Ventures as its first chairman.
The gaming members of JGA include Macau/Reno Gaming, which operates the Macau Gaming Lounge in Kingston and Treasure Hunt in Ocho Rios;
Yahman Technology Limited, operators of Treasure Hunt in Montego Bay; Sizzling Slots, which operates 100 Gaming Lounge in Kingston; Everglades Farms, the operators of Monte Carlo and Treasure Hunt in Kingston; and Supreme Ventures Limited, the owners of Acropolis.
The objectives of the association, as laid out by the group, include: working
with agencies such as the Betting Gaming & Lotteries Commission (BGLC); RISE Life Management Services in the area of gaming practices; promoting policies that are good for sectoral health and investment; and being a platform for all operators in the gaming industry to speak with a coordinated voice.
JGA said in its statement that it is already in discussion with BGLC on the new minimum standards for the industry meant to conform with the Proceeds of Crime Act and anti-money laundering requirement, and plans to come up with a formal position on the issue.
Alongside George as chairman, Adam Epstein of Sizzling Slots is secretary of the association.
