Sagicor shares 46th birthday with customers

Sagicor Group Jamaica Limited gave surprise birthday gifts to more than 30 customers last week.

The company was treating customers who shared its birth date, June 1, 1970, for its 46th anniversary.

"We are excited about these random acts of kindness and given that it was Sagicor's birthday, we decided to reward our clients because we know how much they mean to us," said public relations and corporate social responsibility manager Nadene Newsome.

Newsome said the surprises were a reflection of customer loyalty, which she called the cornerstone of success in every company.

Last year, Sagicor Group awarded grants to 45 individuals, schools, charity groups, communities and institutions for their 45th anniversary.

The charity-based initiative gave customers the opportunity to win donations from the company.
